Fun Friday: My Favorite Kentucky Coffee Shops
If you know anything about me, it’s probably this: I love coffee. If you don’t know anything about me, it won’t take long to find out, I love coffee.
I would even go as far as to say that coffee is a lifestyle for me. Okay, okay that was a little bit too much but I seriously love coffee a lot. I love grabbing coffee with friends, meeting clients over a cup, and love hitting up coffee shops to work! Whenever I travel anywhere one of my top priorities is finding a cool local coffee shop, I think it says a lot about a place and it’s people.
I’ve decided to round up my favorite Kentucky coffee shops!
Cup of Commonwealth
Known for it’s superb customer service and maybe even better iced vanilla latte, Cup is at the top of my list (although this is in no particular order)! Maybe it’s because it’s George’s favorite coffee shop in Lexington, but it’s mostly because the people there are so dang nice. I would like to say that I’ve become friends with the people that work there, and it’s always nice when they remember your coffee order!
Chocolate Holler
Owned and operated by the folks who run Cup, CH has a wonderful menu of all things delicious and chocolatey. While they have a full coffee bar there, it’s a shame to not get one of the specialty hot chocolates or sipping chocolates! The service is superb as well!
Daily Offerings
This has two locations, but my favorite is the one on Malibu, because it’s bigger and has more (free!) parking! The coffee is amazing and the owners ares some of the nicest people!
Manchester Coffee Co.
This place is cool. Like oat milk cool. The vibe is different than most coffee shops in Lexington, it’s hip and edgy and makes me want to wear a leather jacket. Okay that’s a little extra, but in all seriousness, I really love the oat milk lattes and it’s such a great place to sit down and work!
Please and Thank You (in Louisville)
Okay, this place is my jam. I have driven to Louisville on multiple occasions just for a cookie from here. I kid you not, these are the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever eaten (sorry mom if you’re ready this) and their coffee is superb! I wouldn’t suggest working there because I probably would eat like 5 cookies if I stayed there.
Quills Coffee (Louisville)
This is another fantastic Louisville coffee shop. I have been to a few, and this makes the cut. The espresso is fantastic and I love the environment. It’s a great place to get some work done, but also and great coffee date spot!
These are just a few of the many coffee shops I love, but as always, if you have a suggestion of where I should try next, leave a comment below!
