Monet Inspired Shoot with Sophie Kaye Photography
Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to travel down to Nashville, Tennessee to attend the Hybrid Collective. I was able to learn from some of my favorite photographers and meet some wonderful people! It truly was such an amazing experience and I learned so much. One of the biggest ways I learned and grew was by challenging myself to only shoot film. You may or may not know but for the last year or so I have been incorporating film into my workflow and have loved it so much! However, I have felt as though I wasn’t growing or learning as quickly as I wanted to and one of my friends/mentors suggested I try shooting a session solely on film. The thought of that freaked me out, but I decided it was worth a try. Let me tell you, that was some of the best advice I’ve been given. I slowed down, trusted the process and pushed myself because I didn’t have the digital backup. I was thrilled when I got my scans back because I truly gave it my everything.
This shoot that East Made Co. and Sophie Kaye put together was so dreamy and romantic! It was based off of a Monet painting, and I loved seeing the way all the vendors collaborated in making the vision come to life!
